Get Involved
We’d love you to get involved with the school in any capacity you can. Whether it’s from helping out by reading in classes, accompanying us on school trips, running a stall at the summer fayre or talking to your employers and helping us with equipment or other fundraising. No help is too small and all help is much appreciated! Here are some other ways you can help make your school better for your children:
Governorship
The Governing Body has a general responsibility with the Headteacher for running the school. Governors have meetings regularly throughout the year and sub-committees meet to deal with specific areas.
Want to be a Governor?
If you are interested in becoming a school Governor please call the school office for more details.
Brookhurst School Association
Our very active parent-teacher association – of which every parent is automatically a member – organises many events throughout the school year.
The BSA successfully raises thousands of pounds each year, all of which goes to enhance and improve the educational environment for the children and school life in general. To get involved please visit Brookhurst School Association (BSA)
Brookhurst Parents’ Forum
If you are a parent or carer of a child at Brookhurst, come along to the Parents’ Forum. It meets once a term and is an opportunity to find out what’s going on and to discuss school-related issues with staff members.
To get involved please call the school office or just come along to the next parent’s forum meeting!
